I made a portfolio site.

The new carpin music portfolio brings the songs and visuals together, with more notes on MV production and small creative tools to come.

A small music stage surrounded by hot springs and trees

I have launched a portfolio site for carpin music, bringing the songs, music videos, and short visuals together in one place.

I am still a little hesitant to call them finished works. Even so, each one means something to me, shaped through plenty of trial and error.

The site gives every song and visual a place where it can be watched or heard at an unhurried pace. The collection had quietly grown quite a bit, so it feels good to finally sort it out a little.

From songs to visuals

About a year ago, making music with AI became so much fun that I started wondering what it would be like to make visuals for the songs too. That was the beginning of my music video work.

I had tried composing before generative AI, but I could only play a little piano and guitar, and turning those ideas into a fully arranged song was difficult. With AI, I can explore many kinds of music that once felt out of reach, and I am genuinely happy to have that freedom.

Updates will be irregular, but I plan to keep making things at my own pace, simply because I enjoy it.

What will be in these notes

I would like to share more about how the music videos come together, including small discoveries and thoughts from along the way.

I also make a few tools for music and visual production. Some are still staying behind the curtain for now, but I may introduce them here when they are ready.

Making sounds, and sometimes making the tools too.

Incidentally, this site came together in about two days with help from Codex. It really is a remarkable time to be making things.

For now, this is just a small hello from the new site. Have a look around whenever you feel like it.

Thank you for reading.
